Statement
My recent work is inspired by representational archetypes I've observed in commercials, scientific imagery and art galleries. I employ these archetypes in a critique of the isolation they suggest. I work in various media to create exhibitions, often including found objects, sculpture and photography. My background in Civil Engineering and Zen monastic life are two major influences. The challenge of reconciling rational thought with the immediacy and sensuality of direct experience fuels my practice.
