EXHIBITION NOTES: Brad Ford is an artist and writer from Salem, Oregon. His work, Sixteen Tragedies, consists of four works of Aeschylus, four works of Sophocles, and eight works of Euripides showing concurrently on dvd.

Mr. Ford uses vocabulary as his medium, as opposed to paint or traditional fine art material; letters, font and cumulative text are used to develop values and composition. With earlier works like "Chart Edifices" Mr. Ford takes e.e. cummings' poetic form one step further, whereby what is being written about determines the structure of word placement. There is often a lyricism to the constructions and a musicality to the verbal patterning. This and his other works by Brad Ford appear on www.ubu.com/contemp/ford/ford.html
